Location of Nene Valley Holiday Cottages, Northamptonshire

Nene Valley Holiday Cottages are located between Northampton, Peterborough and Cambridge in north-east Northamptonshire, just four miles from Oundle. Our self-catering holiday cottages make a perfect base for exploring Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and East Anglia.

The entrance to our holiday cottages is from the B662, which is the yellow road that runs from Clopton to the A605. If you look at the map, you may be tempted to approach from Wigsthorpe, but that track is unsuitable for cars and is normally blocked.

Directions

By sat-nav, the postcode will take you to the village of Clopton. The cottages are a mile west between Clopton and the A605.

• From the North on the A1

  Exit the A1 at Junction 17 (Peterborough) on to the A605 signed to Northampton / Oundle. Continue for approximately 12 miles, then turn left at a roundabout on to the B662 towards Clopton, and then follow the local directions below.

• From the North on the M1 / M6

  Exit on to the A14 at Junction 19 towards Kettering. Continue for 31 miles to Junction 13, then exit on to the A605, signed to Peterborough. After 3½ miles, take the right turn at the roundabout on to the B662, then follow the local directions below.

• From the South on the A1

  Exit on to the A14 for the Midlands / M1 / M6 and Kettering, then follow the east and west directions.

• From the South on the M1

  Exit the M1 at Junction 14 (Milton Keynes / Newport Pagnell) on to the A509 to Wellingborough, and then on to the A45 to Peterborough. At Thrapston, join the A605. After 3½ miles, turn right at the roundabout on to the B662 towards Clopton, then follow the local directions below.

• From East and West

  Exit the A14 at Junction 13 and join the A605 driving in the Oundle / Peterborough direction. After 3½ miles, turn right at the roundabout on to the B662 towards Clopton.

• Local Directions

  The postcode takes you to the village of Clopton, which is beyond the cottages, so please follow the instructions below.

  From the A605, go over a small humpback bridge (½ mile) and up the hill. The road bends round to the right, past a wood and white house on the right (Woodside Kennels and Cattery). Slow down now! Before the next house on the right, look on the left side of the road for the telegraph pole (it has a red ribbon and yellow reflector band tied around it). Turn left immediately between the hedge and you will find the gate to the lane that leads to the cottages.

  From Clopton, continue on the B662 for approximately 1 mile. Start to slow down by the first house on the left as the turning to the cottages is immediately after on the right. See above.

  There is an 'Enjoy England' sign by the gate next to a green box. The gate has a 'Nene Valley Cottages' sign on it. This gate needs to be kept shut at all times, please. The cottages are a ½ mile down the lane, on the right.
